About Us The company was founded in 1937 and initially traded as a paperboard wholesaler before starting to manufacture hat boxes and rigid boxes for the toy trade, adding printing facilities to expand the range.

Markets change and today 95% of the company's products are geared to the foodservice market. The total process, which comprises design, film and platemaking, die making and manufacturing, is based at the company's 65,000 sq. ft. factory at Flitwick, Bedfordshire. Colpac now exports to 30 countries.

The company's unique selling point is innovation in packaging design and construction. Colpac has a fully equipped design studio, film, plate-making and die shop (equipped with laser die burning facility, fully automated die rule bending equipment and the latest Apple Macs), so it can totally control origination as well as the manufacturing process. Printing is done on several Roland print presses up to six colours and varnish. Cutting and creasing is performed on Bobst die-cutters.

Colpac also has a wide range of finishing and gluing machinery (capable of forming many different shapes and sizes of paperboard cartons), including purpose-built window heatsealing equipment which gives Colpac's unique sandwich pack products extra airtight protection.
