About Us Ancient Recipes, Scotland's quality producer of Speciality Chutneys, Pickles, Relishes & Sauces.

Ancient Recipes was founded in 1988 based on a concept developed out of frustration at not being able to find pickles with the taste and texture that was remembered from suppers with grandparents. Solway Veg based in Gretna saw the potential of the concept, bought and relocated the company to a purpose built on-site factory enabling it to share the physical facilities and depth of managerial and technical support.

In addition to supplying niche sandwich manufacturers our products are used in a variety of foods: Salads, Cheese, Sausages, Pate, Dips, Pies, Pizza, Quiche & Flans.

Innovation, nutrition and convenience is key whilst we remain faithful to the delicious traditional recipes that have been used for generations.
