Winners of the 2013 ‘Sammies’ Awards were unveiled as hundreds of representatives from the British sandwich industry gathered at a glittering ceremony in Central London on 16th May 2013.
Winners included Joe Street from Fine Lady Bakeries who received the Sandwich Industry Award and Elliott Cantrell who scooped the coveted title of 'Sandwich Designer of the the Year.'

The final of the Sandwich Designer of the Year will took place during British Sandwich Week on 16th May 2013 at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
The judges awarded Elliott Cantrell of Adelie foods the prestigious title of Sandwich Designer of the Year.

The British Sandwich Association has successfully set a new world record for the most people simultaneously making a sandwich in a five minute period.
An impressive 607 sandwich lovers turned out to take part in the event at Media City, Salford Quays and a great time really was had by all.
