The British Sandwich Industry Awards 2012 The draft new industry guide for sandwich making in the foodservice/catering sector has gone out on public consultation. The deadline for receiving comments is 22nd February, 2012.
Comments should be sent to the jim@sandwich.org.uk by this date.
The document, which is also being circulated to enforcement bodies by the Food Standards Agency, can be found here (.doc).
Once the document is finalised it will become a formal FSA Industry Guide which will be used by enforcement authorities for guidance when visiting sandwich businesses. A manufacturing guide, produced by the Association, is already published by the Stationery Office.
