The main responsibility of this role is the co-ordination of the production line reporting to the production manager. This role involves organising and supervising the production line operatives, line service operatives and machine minders. You will also have the responsibility for maintaining the line hygiene, immediate operating environment and line equipment, manufacturing the products to the highest quality ensuring that all requirements of the business & customers are met. Food Safety Officer                              £25K

Our client are currently looking for a Food Safety Officer to come on board and help drive the business forward. To provide direct technical input to operations with the verification and validation of process control criteria performed by Goods-in, Preparation, Production, Despatch and Engineering. Development and support for the QA Supervisor and Process Auditor Positions. The maintenance of Good Manufacturing Procedures ensuring the requirements of the BRC Global standard are met at all times. Preferably you will have a minimum HNC in Food / Science subject or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 2/3 years working experience in a Technical / Quality Auditing function within the food industry. Previous experience in auditing, root cause analysis, environmental hygiene and microbiological standards is required.

Good auditing skills Knowledge of HACCP principles, PC literate - MS Office: database experience advantageous.  Above all you will be a Pro -active individual who takes pride in what they do and someone who is looking for personal development and career progression.

Our client is an established company seeking some fresh ideas and initiative to keep them at the forefront of the sandwich industry.

Reporting to the NPD Manager, you will be responsible for coming up with concepts for new products in accordance with the company strategy. Following on from the concept stage, you will present your ideas to customers and management level. This job will demand the best of you and bring all your skills to the forefront.

The ideal candidate will arrive from a similar background along with being experienced working in a Blue Sky development environment right through to launch. You will have at least a diploma in a food related subject, have excellent communication skills and can be a self starter. As part of a motivated and forward thinking team you must have a can do attitude.
