Meeting with Tim Smith, CEO, Food Standards Agency
Jim Winship reported that he is meeting with Tim Smith, Chief Executive officer of the Food Standards Agency, in July and asked members if there were issues they would like him to raise at the meeting. The concerns over the Hygiene Rating Scheme to be raised as well as concerns over public sector buying increasingly being focused on price without full regard to food safety.
