Sugar Tax
The rabbit out of the hat of this year’s Budget was the surprise announcement to slap a sugar tax on the soft drinks industry, assessed by volume and introduced in two years' time. The proceeds will fund school sports.

Aberdeen Bans Sandwiches - BSA Responds
Sandwiches have been taken off the menu at all Aberdeen schools. The city council said the decision was partly down to seasonal changes in the meals being offered to pupils and staff, and also down to forthcoming changes in food labelling legislation.
